Why did the Promised Messiah appear

The purpose of his advent was to establish that Islam is the most superior religion in taking man closer to Allah. Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad sahib explains that in his quest to do so all he has received is abuse but that he shall continue in his quest regardless of consequences.
