Verse 185 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran makes it clear that this is not a new message but a compilation of what was revealed to all the prophets. It is also the standard by which all men, Muslim and others, can judge whether their beliefs are correct or not. It was the only scripture which was written down as it was revealed as well as being committed to memory.
