Men who change the course of their nations have many common traits. One such trait is selfless service of their people or in the words of the Holy Quran it is by striving with their persons or their property.
Nelson Mandela was one such person. He gave up what could have been a lucrative law practice to fight for the rights of his people. And then having established the dignity of his people and rid them of tyranny he did not cling on to power but retired to let younger men carry on with running his country.
