Adeeba looks back at the centenary celebrations held by the UK Jamaat of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, in May 2013 and ponders on why people in Britain embraced islam with such love and passion back then, and why it is seen as such a hated religion in Britain now.
Mr Ray Morgan, the Chief Executive of the Woking Council, took to the podium, during our centenary celebrations, to address the large crowd.
He talked about the issues facing Muslims today both in Woking and around the World at large. He talks about how we need to overcome not only issues within, but also with the media who fail in their responsibilities to report on Islamic issues evenly.
He goes on to discuss the need for British Muslims to be both proud of being Muslims in the West, but of also being proud to be British.
