One of our younger members recites Chapter seven of The Holy Quran and gives its English translation.
When faced with truth with which they disagree most people resort to saying that their elders and great men did not say these things. This is to raise them to the level of divinity. The only Being whose Commands cannot be questioned is Allah and if we say that someone else is above being questioned then you are implicitly raising them to the same status.
This is the second of our three part series on the Lahori Ahmadi’s. In part one we briefly outlined what we stand for and today we will be explaining in more detail about our beliefs.
This series has been taken from ‘The Ahmadiyya Doctrines’ by Maulana Muhammad Ali.

Tim Miller who is the Vice President of the European Chapter of the Universal Peace Federation joined our Friday Prayers, as a guest of Hazrat Amir.
He gave a short speech on his beliefs and the upcoming activities of the UPF including a conference to be held about the Ahmadiyyah community.
He was also presented with a copy of the Holy Quran by Hazrat Amir at the end of Friday Prayers.
In the second khutba Hazrat Amir discussed the things you should do to achieve nearness to Allah.
In this third and final khutba of this series Hazrat Amir discusses the “don’ts” for a Muslim. That is the things a Muslim must not do if he wants to achieve closeness to Allah.
Hazrat Ameer continues his talk based on Chapter 16 verses 89 to 91 of the Holy Quran.
Hazrat Ameer recites verse 2 chapter 57 of the Holy Quran and deals with the subject of ‘taking Allah for a friend’. He cites examples of the teachings on friendship as mentioned in scriptures of some of the major religions.
Dr Zahid Aziz in a brief talk explains the challenges religions in general faced at the time of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s advent, especially Islam.
He further explains how Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad dealt with these challenges and that his defence not only supported Islam but religion in general as well, particularly from attacks by modern science and philosophy.
The latest edition of our monthly magazine, edited by Dr Zahid Aziz, is now available below for viewing. Please note you need flash to be able to view the magazine.
