Saudis’ Misunderstanding Jihad

by VirtualMosque on Aug.13, 2010, under News

This is an article on Jihad by someone in Saudi Arabia. This shows how confused Muslim are about this concept. Of Jihad.

On the one hand this gentleman says: Without question, the greatest jihad is personal jihad. On the other, he criticises the Ahmadiyya Movement for saying exactly the same thing.
He says : Ahmadiyya, . . . rejected the principle of fighting the colonialists. But then goes on to say : . . .I completely understand that we are bound by the conditions and limitations of [declaring] jihad, namely [that jihad can only be declared when] Muslims are being expelled from their land and [are subjected] to religious coercion.

But the Promised Messiah said exactly the same thing. Muslims in India were not being expelled by the British nor where they subjected to religious coercion. So what made jihad, in the sense of war, their duty? Indeed, other Muslims, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Ali Jinnah all opposed a war of independence against the British.

Lahori Ahmadis’ promoting true Islam to West

by VirtualMosque on Jul.20, 2010, under News

It is easy to mock and to ridicule. This does not require any effort and does nothing for the propagation of Islam.

Our opponents have mocked and ridiculed us, like court jesters but what have they done to promote the image of Islam in the West or, indeed, anywhere in the world? The picture below seems to sum it up.

In his recent book the independent historian and scholar Eric Germain looks at the way The Ahmadiyya Movement, with few resources, devoted itself to the propagation of Islam. The question then arises : Why did we expend such effort for propagation of Islam if we are not Muslims?

Keep mocking, we do not care. We will keep working to bring the true message of Islam to the people.

Galileo of Islam

by VirtualMosque on Jul.14, 2010, under News

“one of the foremost muslim scholars of India, actively involved in making Islam known to the west”

The article below is a brief sketch of the history of the Ahmadiyya Movement. Part of this sketch is illuminating as it deals with the influence The Promised Messiah had from New Zealand to the US.

The distinguishing feature of his work was that he concentrated on positive work although unfortunately Sunni Muslims did their best to detract him from it by raising irrelevant and unimportant issues.
He co-operated with The Liverpool Mosque Movement in the UK publishing free advertisements and appeal for help for their magazines. He wrote to newspapers and journals world over claiming salvation of humanity lies in Islam.

Two examples of his efforts are published here: that of trying to promote the cause of Islam in the US and in New Zealand. If only non-Ahmadi Muslims had followed the course the Promised Messiah chartered, Islam would now be a well established religion the world over.

Moderate Mullah says kill them all

by VirtualMosque on Jun.03, 2010, under Other Videos

Here is a moderate Mullah!

Many people would wonder why Hazrat Mirza Sahib said : “Do not say funeral prayers of such people.”

The man in the video below is openly saying that because Ahmadiyya jamaat is making progress even in Pakistan its members should be put to death. So much for a moderate, tolerant Islam he is supposed to preach.

More insulting cartoons and more extremist reactions

by VirtualMosque on Mar.18, 2010, under News

Lars Vilks has followed in the footsteps of others in recent times of producing a cartoon which depicts the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a derogatory way. This had led to a predicable uproar from extremists, with numerous arrests of people who had directed death threats at Vilks.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad prophesied that three generations after he passed away, whether Muslim accept his claim to being the Promised Messiah or not, they will accept his interpretation of Islam.

This article shows that this is happening.
Insult and abuse of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is nothing new. It started when he made a claim to prophethood and continues till this day. So we don’t have to wonder how we should react to it, we have the Holy Prophet’s example to guide us. (continue reading…)
