The Promised Messiah instructs his jamaat not to pray behind non-Ahmadis because success lies in being steadfast on the right path. The second extract justifies this seemingly harsh stance by saying that there are times for gentleness and a time for strictness and the appropriate action needs to be taken at the appropriate time.
