The Holy Prophet is called Muhammad and Ahmad. One meaning the most praised and the other the one who praises Allah most.
The Holy Prophet (s) acquired these attributes because he reflected the Divine qualities in his person. More than this he was such a great rabb (nourisher and teacher) that his companions came to reflect his (s) qualities.
