Online Racism will only get nastier and more prevalent in 2015

In December 2014 Facebook pushed a new advert to peoples ‘news feed’ in which a Sikh man, in a turban, explained how new algorithms meant that people would only see the things they want to see (liked) when they log into their Facebook account. Unfortunately that simple message was lost in a torrent of racist comments by people who didn’t want to see that “terrorist” on their screen.
