Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha'at-e-Islam UK
August 5th 2007 Monthly meeting
Wembley, UK

On Sunday 5th August 2008 the UK jamaat held its usual monthly meeting at Dar us Salaam. Ms Habiba Anwar was the main speaker.

The topic was different groups in Islam such as Shia, Sunni, Sufi etc and how they arose. Ms Anwar had distributed a chart to the audience showing various groups and sub-groups.

The speech was followed by a lively discussion about why the Ummah could not unite into one group. It was pointed out that the problem was not differences of opinion but intolerance of differing points of view and assumption, by some people, of almost Divine authority to decide and to determine which view or interpretation of a disputed matter was correct.

The meeting ended with Asr prayers led by Dr Muhammad Ahmad Hami, the self-less imam of the UK jamaat. Every one is requested to pray for his health and long life so that he may continue to serve the cause of Islam..
